What is The Cook Veg Dum Biryani?

  • The Cook Veg Dum Biryani is a royal and aromatic rice dish that originates from Hyderabad, India. It is made by slow-cooking (dum) layers of fragrant basmati rice and spiced mixed vegetables in a sealed pot to infuse flavors. Traditionally enriched with Ghee, saffron, mint, fried onions, and yogurt, this vegetarian version of the classic biryani delivers a rich and indulgent experience—perfect for special occasions or a comforting meal..

  • Aromatics: Yogurt, Onion, Tomato, Ginger, Garlic, Green Chilli, Coriander, Mints Leaves,

What is Lemon Rice?

  • Jumbo Chole and Puri is a hearty North Indian meal featuring spiced chickpea curry (Chole) served with large, deep-fried whole wheat bread (Puri). The “jumbo” term refers to the generous portion size—making it a satisfying dish often enjoyed during lunch, brunch, or festive occasions. Chole is cooked with a rich blend of onions, tomatoes, and warming spices, while puris are puffed and crisp, made from whole wheat flour.

 

Ingredients:

 

  • Dried white chickpeas (kabuli chana) – 1.5 cups (soaked overnight, boiled
  • Onions – 2 medium (finely chopped)
  • Tomatoes – 2 medium (pureed or finely chopped)
  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • Green chilies – 1-2 (slit)
  • Chole masala – 2 tsp (or garam masala as substitute)
  • Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  • Bay leaf – 1
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Fresh coriander – for garnish
  • Lemon wedges – optional
