1. About Us

These terms govern your use of The Cook website and services provided by TCBL (The Cook Berks Ltd), trading as The Cook, 31 Kings Reach, Slough SL3 7QE, United Kingdom. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

2. Ordering

Orders may be placed via WhatsApp or through the customer portal. An order is confirmed only upon written WhatsApp confirmation from us. We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion. All prices displayed are indicative and may be subject to change.

3. Payment

All payments are made by bank transfer only. We do not accept card payments. Bank details will be provided upon order confirmation. Payment is due before or at the time of delivery unless otherwise agreed. Subscriptions and membership plans are renewed on the agreed schedule and payment is required in advance of each renewal period.

4. Delivery

Delivery times are estimated and not guaranteed. We will notify you via WhatsApp if there is a significant delay. Our delivery service covers Slough and surrounding areas only. Delivery availability may vary and is subject to change without notice.

5. Subscriptions & Memberships

We offer chapati subscription plans including Monthly (42 chapatis/month), Yearly (510 chapatis/year), and Recurring (flexible quantity and schedule) plans. Unused chapati credits do not carry over between billing periods unless otherwise stated. To pause or cancel a subscription, please give us at least 7 days' notice via WhatsApp. No refunds are provided for unused chapatis within a subscription period. Bundle packs are non-refundable once purchased.

6. Event Catering

A deposit is required to secure event catering bookings. Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the event will forfeit the deposit in full. Final headcount must be confirmed at least 48 hours prior to the event. We reserve the right to adjust pricing if the confirmed headcount differs significantly from the original quote.

7. Food Allergens

Our kitchen handles gluten, dairy, nuts, and other common allergens. We cannot guarantee that any item is free from allergens or cross-contamination. If you have a food allergy or intolerance, please inform us before ordering. We will do our best to accommodate your needs but cannot accept liability for allergic reactions where we have not been informed.

8. Cancellations & Refunds

You may cancel an order free of charge up to 2 hours before the scheduled delivery time. Cancellations made after this window may be charged in full. Where a refund is due, it will be processed via bank transfer within 5 working days of the cancellation being confirmed.

9. Customer Portal

The customer portal is provided as a convenience tool for managing orders, subscriptions, and account details. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. TCBL reserves the right to suspend or terminate portal access in cases of misuse, fraudulent activity, or breach of these terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TCBL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of our services. Our total liability to you in connection with any order or service shall not exceed the value of that order.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date. Your continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
